In this current series, Debbie Likley Pacheco works to capture the moment she walks out into the city for the first time, feeling the excitement of the movement of the streets teeming with people, the interactions of the buildings and lights bouncing off their structures, and the vibrancy of the colors and signage. For a moment before her eyes can focus on one singular narrative, she is faced with this beautiful blur of movement and emotion - and that feeling informs her work.
Pacheco began her education in art at a young age, having been taught by her father. She continued to study and paint throughout college and while working in advertising as an Art Director. In 2003, she began painting and exhibiting full time.
